Tom Jose took over as the new chief secretary of the state on Saturday. Outgoing chief secretary Paul Antony and the staff of the chief secretary's office welcomed the new chief secretary by cutting a cake.
After taking over, the new chief secretary said the government has bestowed a great responsibility on him and that he would live up to the expectations to the best of his abilities. He said that he will continue to work in his own style that he has been following. Jose said that his greatest passion and dream as chief secretary was regarding the waste-management. He said that he would work for making the towns in the state free from wastes, for which the state is yet to find a permanent solution.
